This is a new adaptation of the famous tear apart change bag. Anything that can fit into the bag can be changed. Inside dimensions are approximately 6.5 inches wide x 8 inches high. The bag uses Velcro® to hold the bag together firmly, yet allows the bag to be torn open instantly without damage to the material. The magician invites the birthday child up on stage to help him with some magic. The child places small individual beads into the bag. When the child and guests at the party all yell the special magic words "Happy Birthday", the bag is torn open and the beads all shoot into the air, magically linked into a beaded necklace for a girl or a key chain for a boy.

For your corporate shows, let the individual colorful chain links represent yellow for the corporate leadership team, black for the staff employees and white for the customers. The individual links are placed into the bag, a metaphor for the corporate mission and/or values. When the bag is torn open, the links are all joined together representing the healthy bond between the customer, employees and leadership teams.

Silly Sack

A Bag Without a Bottom?

The Silly Sack is a great comedy prop for the kids' show performer. This innocent looking bag creates illusion, comedy and surprise. Plus, it's easy to learn and simple to perform.

While looking around for a silk handkerchief the performer opens a black draw string bag and plunges his/her hand all the way into and through the bottom of the bag, proving it is empty. (The bag can even be turned inside out at this point if you wish.) But, as the performer pulls his/her hand out of the bag the silk handkerchief is produced. When the performer is through with the silk handkerchief, it is placed back into the bag, only to have it drop completely through the bag onto the table. This is repeated, only to have it drop through again. The third time, the silk handkerchief does not fall through, but vanishes into the bag, which is again shown empty by turning it inside out once more.

Some performers use the bag to produce a large scarf. They begin by reaching into the bag and out through the bottom, grab a corner of their vest or jacket (imagining it is the scarf) and try to pull that through the bag. Ya, I know it sounds silly. But, it produces tons of laughter.

Sorcerer's Surprise

The Spectator Becomes the Wizard!

Sorcerer's Surprise is made on durable laminated cards, is easy to learn and simple to perform. The clear drawings make this great for children as well as adult audiences. Any variety performer can use this in their act. It is well suited for magicians, clowns, story tellers, teachers and more.

The performer shows two sets of ten decorated cards. The cards in each set have the same ten different symbols on them. Each set has a different colored back, but the ten different symbols on the face of each set are shown to be identical and arranged in the same order.

The spectator then freely selects one of the sets to be shuffled by the performer. The cards of both sets are then dealt face up into two plies to show that the order of all ten cards in each set is completely different.

The spectator again freely chooses one of the piles and the performer again shuffles, but this time it is under the spectator's supervision.

The cards from both sets are again dealt face-up into two piles. Magically, the cards in each set have rearranged themselves where the different symbols match the order in each set exactly!

REMEMBER - These cards can be examined by the spectator afterwards if you choose. There are no switches and nothing is taken away. You are completely clean before AND after the performance!
